A Surprise Proposal in Dumbo

Not too long ago, I had the honor of capturing a beautiful surprise proposal by the River Cafe in Dumbo, Brooklyn for this young couple. The groom’s mom actually made all the arrangements from hiring a professional photographer to capture every moment of the proposal down to the after party held in Sugarcane. All their close friends and relatives were present to celebrate them. I think there were about 40 or so people who attended the super fun party afterwards. It was a beautiful night. I don’t normally go to Brooklyn (or anywhere outside of Manhattan) for photo shoots but I was glad I took this job. Dumbo is such a beautiful location and perfect for photo shoots especially with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. I took a photo stroll afterwards by the water since it’s been a while since I took landscape photos. Here’s a few images I wanted to share and boy, was it tough curating their gallery.
